Drenched, a poetry collection

Renée Gregorio's fourth full-length collection of poems, Drenched, has been recently published by Fish Drum, Inc of New York City.

Whether circling the landscape of northern New Mexico that is home, or the landscapes of foreignness, or the landscape of intimate relationship, the poems in DRENCHED speak to embracing what is other and being enlarged by doing so. What is it in nature and human nature that sustains us? How do we belong on this earth? DRENCHED is about transformation and the yearning in us to be made new.

On the back cover, poet Joanne Kyger writes of Renée's work:

She knows and sees where she is-- in her body, her place, herself. She finds courage in navigating the dark of deep waters. It's wisdom when she writes, 'no pressure to be other than what I am'.

Drenched is available from Small Press Distribution of Berkeley or Amazon.

How sales and trust are communicated through our presence.

New article co-written by Strozzi Institute Associate Amy Castoro and Master Somatic Coach Peter Luzmore!

Why, after all the personality tests, careful job shadowing and analysis, and customer feedback surveys, the secret ingredient to the top sales person’s success is nearly impossible to reproduce in others? How is it that when some sales people hear “no, thank you,” they are able to develop the conversation into an engaging discussion? Can anyone learn how to connect authentically with others and build trust in the face of rejection so that the customer or client wants to buy from us or work with us in the future? Is this quality of presence a birthright or is it learned?

The Relating Game reviewed by Choice Magazine

Paula Love and Jennifer VanHomer are proud to announce that The Relating Game has been enthusiastically reviewed by Choice Magazine (an emagazine for Coaches).

The Relating Game™
Deeper Intimacy and More Meaningful Connections for Individuals and Couples

By Marcy Nelson-Garrison, MA, LP, CPCC

The Relating Game™ is the most exciting tool for relationship coaching I’ve seen to-date. It offers structures for work between sessions and is absolutely perfect for couples retreats and workshops. The 96 cards are divided into categories: domain cards (what do you value most?), competency cards (what can you do?), intimacy cards (what is your heart’s deepest longing?), practice cards (how open to love can you be?) and one pause card (to be used when you need a break).

The practice cards offer wonderful connecting exercises. The domain cards provide a
place to focus on topics like career, aging parents, wealth building, purpose, legacy and sex. The intimacy cards are conversation prompts around subjects like trust, boredom, joy, recognition, etc. It’s the competencies category that really sets the product apart and takes it beyond just a powerful conversation tool. After creating a vision around one of the domain areas, you are guided to identify the competencies needed to succeed, not only to celebrate the competencies you have, but to create a plan for the ones that need to be developed. This makes it an extraordinary coaching tool.

I’ve only scratched the surface and highly recommend this tool if you do relationship work. I promise that as you begin to explore the cards you will find many ways to use them with your clients.

Announcing New Book!

Strozzi Associate Jennifer Van Homer is proud to announce the upcoming launch of her new book, A Princess and Her Garden, written in collaboration with Dr. Patricia Adson. The telling of this story is more about the awakening and arrival of you, the reader, than it is about the journey of the Princess. The authors have wisely used their years of counseling and coaching experience to create a guided journal (The Queen of Herself) that prompts you to reflect and answer thought provoking questions about your childhood, and what you learned about taking care of yourself and others. This unique journaling experience helps you cultivate a new life story in which you love both yourself and those closest to you.

EcoSomatic Leadership Intensive

Doug Silsbee (Master Somatic Coach) and Henry Kimsey-House (Co-Founder, CTI) are offering a 8-day September intensive in northern New Mexico. We will explore the EcoSoma: the embodied experience of ourselves AS the earth. We will invite the dramatic felt realization that we are both characters in a tremendous unfolding drama, and authors of it. We will discover how we are shaped by a connected awareness of ourselves as the living Earth, and how this shaping aligns our commitments with the rawness of our place at the leading edge of evolution. Visit the EcoSomatic Leadership page for more information and recorded audio conversations with Doug and Henry.
