Look for this Logo!

In our ongoing conversation about the growth and legacy in the field of Somatics, we have developed a logo for the SI brand of Somatics. We feel that the field is growing and though SI is the nexus of the broader conversation of the possibilities of somatics, we know it is bigger
than just us. When you see this logo used by organizations and/or individuals, it signifies that the practitioners have been extensively and comprehensively trainied in the discourse of Strozzi Somatics through Strozzi Institute.

Here is how we hold the usefulness of collectively using the Strozzi Somatics logo:

Quality: As SI Somatics grows, and the general field of Somatics gets more popular, we want to keep a high level of quality in the discourse. Currently there are few distinctions that the general public has regarding somatics, anything including the "body" could be dubbed that. With
the Strozzi Somatics logo we are naming and branding the discourse, showing there is a holistic methodology behind it, and that we as a wide variety of practitioners are using this methodology in is entirety (rather than doing body-based exercises). As somatics becomes more widespread
the SI Somatics logo becomes a measure of quality.

Begin to Set Standards for the Field: Somatics is not a field that is standardized as of yet. We are committed to participating in setting the standards for somatics not only in its use for healing work (which is where most people know of it now), but also its use in coaching, organizations, leadership development and social movement work. As we use the Strozzi Somatics logo, we also begin to distinguish standards and help define the field.

Build Identity: Using the SI Somatics mark across various types of work from coaching, to leadership development, and corporate and social change organizations by masterful practitioners will help build identity for all of us. The more high quality work done with this methodology, the more folks will be looking for it.

Living Lineage: As you know this work comes from a long lineage and 50 years of integrative and innovative work. The SI Somatics mark acknowledges that we are all a part of this living lineage.

Embodiment of the discourse. Using the SI Somatics mark represents that the folks using
it have a fundamental embodiment of the discourse. This will be a standard of quality that we
want to keep.
